Album

The sixth and final LP by the Riverboat Five was cut live. Clarinetistleader Ed Reed is joined by a four-piece rhythm section and on six of the dozen numbers trumpet, trombone and two rhythm banjos. The music is typical Dixieland, with all 12 numbers which include Ja-Da, Bill Bailey, Shine and Bourbon Street Parade being warhorses. Reed plays well, and the concise renditions, although without any real surprises, do have their fiery moments. Tracklist: 1. The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise 2. Ja-da 3. The Sheik Of Araby 4.
