Worlds Apart is the fourth studio album by the Canadian neo progressive rock band Saga and was originally released in 1981. The album has been released with several different covers. The album was produced by Rupert Hine. Frontman Michael Sadler stated in the band's video DVD Silhouette 2002 that Hine told him to stop singing like a choir boy and actually had him climb up to the roof of a barn located on the farm in England where the recording was done in order to get the proper passion out of. Saga is 1 A progressive rock quintet, formed in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Bassist-keyboardist Jim Crichton and Welsh-born vocalist Michael Sadler have been the principal songwriters for Saga. Originally known as The Pockets, Saga formed in 1977 from the nucleus of Canadian rock band Fludd. In June 1978, they released their self-titled debut album. Saga's first major-label release was also the band's commercial breakthrough the single On the Loose was not only a radio hit, but one of the first videos to be featured on the fledgling MTV network. Fortunately, the rest of the album holds up nearly as well as that fine single fleshing out the songs' arrangements with lots of interesting instrumental detail, the band manages to maintain their progressive rock roots while producing strong, effective pop tunes.
