Aorta were an American psychedelic rock band from Chicago who recorded two albums in the late 1960s and early 1970s. David left in 1965, to join The Rovin' Kind, later to become. Red wine punk with a touch of kraut grunge. Eight tracks which showcase the band's unique touch of punky noise rock or red wine punk with a touch of kraut grunge, as they would describe themselves. Black vinyl in a huge blackwhite fold-out sleeve. Aorta's album ended up peaking at around number 168 and remained on Billboard's charts for a respectable six weeks. Aorta was reissued on CD in recorded two albums under the name Aorta. The first of these, the self-titled Aorta, is today highly acclaimed as a lite-psych album of some minor renown, and though it managed to chart on Billboard's album charts, it failed to do what was expected. A revised version of the group - was a highly talented rock band from Rockford, IL that released two albums throughout 1969 and 1970. The band was originally known as the Exceptions, a popular soul rock group that played around the Chicago area and released a handful of singles. The album was housed in a beautiful, graphic sleeve that has always overshadowed the great music from within. Musically speaking, Aortas sound comes close to Boston band Listening or even the more psychedelic aspects of early Blood, Sweat and Tears during its Al Kooper phase. There seems to be some kind of concept that reoccurs under the Mein Vein theme. Songs in album Aorta - Aorta 2 1970. Aorta - Willie Jean. Aorta - Little Bonnie. Aorta - Blythe Spirit. The only reason it was buried was the Chicago Transit Authority album came out around the same time I probably also believe Robert Christgau's review didn't help matters any, the Aorta album sounded stuck in 1967'68 although some proto-prog elements show up, and CTA sounded contemporary for its time, if not more in tuned with. the early '70s. Regardless, I didn't let the dated sound of Aorta put me off, this is a great album regardless what Robert Christgau would have you believe. 답글 답글 2개 보기 나에게 알림 2 Helpful. Disc IDs. Cover Art 0.
